ZUM is a contemporary photography magazine by the Moreira Salles InstituteZUM brings visual essays, articles and interviews by national and international artists and writers on photography and visual culture.

ZUM magazine is published twice a year, in April and October, since 2011, with exclusive content, printed on national and international papers.

Subscribers receive a limited-edition poster with each issue HERE.

This website, the online version of ZUM, frequently publishes new content, complementing the printed magazine with essays, interviews, articles and columnists.

Once a year, ZUM grants two unpublished artistic projects with the ZUM/IMS Photography Scholarship. Meet the recipients of past editions HERE.

The ZUM Festival takes place annually at Moreira Salles Institute, in São Paulo, with a broad program of talks, debates, workshops, exhibitions and a photobook fair. See the program of previous years HERE or watch the debates HERE.

Every year, ZUM promotes the Call for Photobooks, to map and highlight contemporary photography publications. Books sent to the call are incorporated into the collection of the IMS Photography Library.

For reviews, books can be sent to the address below. All books received are later incorporated into the collection of the IMS Photography Library.

Moreira Salles Institute has made every effort to contact all the rights holders of images and texts and welcomes any further information in this regard.
