In Recife, young activists remain camped at ‘Pier Estelita’ during the World Cup games. The movement ‘Occupy Estelita’ took over the area since May 21st as a means to fight a real state project known as ‘New Recife’, which plans to construct a dozen of luxury apartment towers in the historical area of the city. The movement was violently dispersed by the police on June 17th.
